      Marco De Paolis led the Military Court
      in La Spezia from 2002 to 2008, and
      the one in Rome from 2010 to 2018,
      preparing more than 500 cases for war
      crimes during the second world war.
      He has been the Prosecutor, among the
      others, of the trials for the Nazi-fascist
      massacres in Sant’Anna di Stazzema,
      Civitella val di Chiana, Monte Sole
      Marzabotto, Kefalonia.
      He is currently directing the General
      Military Prosecutor’s Office at the
      Military Court of Appeal. He is the author
      of numerous monographs and essays
      on war crimes and humanitarian law.

      Isabella Insolvibile, who is an historian,
      is an associate professor of Modern
      History at the Telematic University
      Mercatorum. She wrote monographs
      and essays on military history, with
      a particular focus on Resistance,
      imprisonment and war crimes. She works
      as an advisor for the Military Courts
      in Rome and Naples for what concerns
      Nazi-fascist massacres, she collaborates
      with Rai Storia and is also a member of
      the Scientific Committee of National
      Institute “Ferruccio Parri”, as well as
      of the Scientific Committee of the TV
      program “Passato e Presente”
      (Rai 3 - Rai Storia).
