Conversely, the network in Tripolitania - implemented by the then Lieutenant Luigi Sacco - used
Marconi equipment only. Some of them were assembled to form a camel borne station, modifying
the 1.5 kW sound spark gap equipment (picture 7.1). A convoy of at least 13 camels transported all
devices necessary to ensure the stations operation in remote areas, for a period of at least twenty
days. Pictures 7.2 shows some images of a camel borne station .
