Condannato all‘ergastolo il 7 marzo 1998
dalla Corte Militare di Appello di Roma per
la strage delle Fosse Ardeatine (Roma)
del 24 marzo 1944 – 335 vittime civili.
[70] Max Simon, SS-Gruppenführer
(Generale di Divisione SS) – Comandante
della 16^ Divisione-SS Corazzata
Granatieri “Reichsführer-SS” (16. SS
Panzergrenadier Division “Reichsfuhrer –
SS”). Condannato a morte da una Corte
Militare Alleata a Padova il 26 giugno 1947,
con molti capi di imputazione per vari fatti
commessi in Toscana ed Emilia-Romagna,
fra cui anche la strage di Sant’Anna di
Stazzema, e poi graziato.

Panzergrenadier Regiment 35 – 16. SS
Panzergrenadier Division “Reichsführer“– SS.
Condannato all‘ergastolo il 22 giugno 2005
dal Tribunale Militare di La Spezia per la
strage di S. Anna di Stazzema (Lucca) del
12 agosto 1944: circa 360 vittime civili, fra [69]
cui oltre 100 bambini sotto i 14 anni. [70]

Sentenced to life imprisonment on the 7th
March 1998 by the Military Court of Appeal
in Rome for the massacre of the Ardeatine
Caves (Rome) which took place on the
24th March 1944 - 335 civilian victims.
[70] Max Simon, SS-Gruppenführer (SS
Lieutenant General) Commander of the
16th SS Panzer Grenadier Division (16. SS
Panzergrenadier Division “Reichsführer-
SS''). Sentenced to death by an Allied
Military Court in Padova on the 26th
June 1947 with many charges, including
crimes committed in Tuscany and Emilia-
Romagna and the massacre in Sant’Anna
di Stazzema. He was pardoned.

life imprisonment on the 22nd June 2005
by the Military Court in La Spezia for
the massacre in Sant’Anna di Stazzema
(Lucca) which took place on the 12th
August 1944: approximately 360 dead
civilians, including more than 100 children
under the age of 14.
